Harry Reid does it again - Is he brain dead?

Play the video so you can see for yourself what a fool the Majority Leader really is.

I did not know Harry Reid was an expert doctor and  is concern about unemployed husbands.

The Fox nation reported:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

"I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand," Reid said on the Senate floor. "Why? Men don't have jobs."

Reid said that the effects of joblessness on domestic violence were especially pronounced among men, because, Reid said, women tend to be less abusive.

"Women don't have jobs either, but women aren’t abusive, most of the time," he said.

"Men, when they're out of work, tend to become abusive," the majority leader added. "Our domestic crisis shelters in Nevada are jammed.”_______________________________________________________________

Harry knows the best example of a  domestic crisis shelter is the U.S. Senate - He is the
Senate Majority Leader - Not for long I hope.

Can we afford to give ACORN another $ 4 Billion?

This is old news now, but you should think about this.

Obama and his lobby bobby budget has earmarked $4 billion for his buddies at ACORN.  How nice.

Is this how Obama will pay ACORN back for their help in electing him?

My question- can we really afford this kind of spending?

Toyota Motor: No pedals from heaven

By now you have heard about the gas pedal problem at Toyota.

Big recall.  The pedal could stick and get you flying at a high speed real quick.  This is not good.

Sounds like an equipment,  flaw/defect/design problem.

Was there anything wrong with the old gas pedals, like the one on my 2002 Camry?  Why did they change the pedal.

I bet it was an engineer who was brained washed by a parts vendor into buying theses new pedals. Maybe saving Toyota lots of money for a cheaper part.

Nice move.  Now Toyota will spend lots of time and money, to fix the problem and keep its drivers from getting killed.

This reminds me how Ford and GM used to operate.

I do not feel sorry for Toyota. Toyota asked for all of this problem.

Why did it take over a year for the President to reach out to the GOP and the Democrates?

It took about 13 months for the President to try to get on the same page with the  GOP and the Democrats.

I think Washington has been asleep.  Now its time they woke up.

Did Obama do this because he wanted to, or because he had to?  Has he been asleep?

Can they all work together?  Can they get anything done?

The Democrats control the Senate and the House.  And they have a hard time getting anything done. Why?

Maybe they all realize, that if they continue on the path they were on, this country is doomed for failure.
It may even collapse.  The stock market dumped today, the DOW lost 268 points.  Its global, its not good.

I am not sure what it will take, but I do not think we can continue with government as it has been.  Things have got to change, or this country will fail.  Is the world headed for a depression?  Are you buying gold?

About, Jobs.  I do not see how we can create jobs if there is no work ( to be done ).  Caterpillar let many people go a while back. Why?  Maybe because no one was buying their equipment - the things they make.

If the government gives an incentive or a credit if you hire people - will people be hired?  I say only if you have  additional business to support the hiring of more people.  Business has to grow before it is justified to hire someone.

Manufacturing:
Where I work, if we hired more people, say two people,  these people would not make anything, they would probably clean up the place.  And do housekeeping, then when the place is cleaned up, then what? Right now we do not have the business or orders,  for these two people to make anything.  We are barely hanging on.

Everyone wants more jobs, but what will you do with  these people, if there is no work? People cannot be hired and then do nothing.  So the economy and business has to grow so new hires will be needed.  Thats the hard part.

Here are  some of the problems the Senate and the House have to address.
Social Security,  Medicare and Medicaid.  National security, two wars. Deficits.
Federal spending.  Economy and jobs.  Health care.  Size of government. All these items are in trouble.

Is it true that some of the money received for social security gets spent somewhere else?

There is a lot at stake here. Lets all hope that the President, the Senate,  and the House, can work together and get something done that will help everyone. Not just a few.

Obama Budget - Spends, barrows and steals.

House Republican Leader John Boehner has reported:

http://republicanleader.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=168473

Boehner: “Another Budget That Spends Too Much, Taxes Too Much, and Borrows Too Much”
GOP Leader: “Just three days after talking to House Republicans about the importance of fiscal responsibility, President Obama is submitting another budget that spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much.”

Washington, Feb 1 - House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement commenting on President Obama’s $3.8 trillion budget proposal for fiscal year 2011:

“Just three days after talking to House Republicans about the importance of fiscal responsibility, President Obama is submitting another budget that spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much.

“Filled with more reckless spending and more unsustainable debt, the President’s budget is just more of the same at a time when the American people are looking for Democrats in Washington to listen and change course. Families asking ‘where are the jobs’ deserve better than more government ‘stimulus’ programs and another year of attempting to tax and spend our way to recovery. Under President Obama’s budget, the federal government will continue to live well beyond its means for years to come with no relief in sight.

“I’m pleased that the President has spoken out about the need to get our fiscal house in order, and his proposed spending freeze is certainly a good first step, though it’s already being undercut by Washington Democrats and liberal special interests. Serious fiscal responsibility requires more than a few cuts here and there at the margins. Republicans have proposed adopting strict budget caps that limit federal spending on an annual basis and are enforceable by the President. These caps were a critical plank in the
budget alternative Republicans proposed last year, led by Budget Committee Ranking Republican Paul Ryan, and they are notably absent from the President’s budget. Without these caps, the federal budget deficit will continue to spiral out of control and this broken status quo will continue.

Obama is out of his mind.  WH Budget Director Peter Orzag  has lost his mind too.  What a weak, reckless bunch of misfits we have in that WH.

Obama and his corrupt buddies are slowly but surely ruining this country.

He breaks campaign promises everyday. And gets away with it.   Damn - that's pathetic.

With this budget he is stealing our future.
