Is it just me?

I can see and feel incompetence all around us.  Maybe some of the problem is semantics. Maybe not.

BP wants to try  to "top kill" to seal the leaking oil well.  While Obama and the congress want to "bottom kill" the rest of the country.

I watched officials from Louisiana and parishes near New Orleans complain that nothing is getting done, in regards to the BP oil spill disaster.  Their hands are tied.   Everyone is lying,   The government, BP, Department of the Interior, lawyers.  Lies, Lies, Lies.  No one is  in charge.  Not BP, not the Government, not Louisiana , not the Coast Guard, not the parishes, not the fishermen, not the lawyers.

I watched James Carville and his wife Mary  Matalin, both from Louisiana, who appear on CNN, complain and showed their frustration as they observed the oil that had reached the shore. Blame BP. Not Obama. These two look at their state everyday. It must be tough to see nothing getting done.

Gov. Bobby Jindal was there also.  He was frustrated also.

The officials from Louisiana should have started the oil clear up themselves. Before it ever reached the
freshwater wetlands of Louisiana's southeastern tip.  Then they could have given BP the bill for the clean up.But they did nothing - incompetent.  They helped ruin their own wet lands.  Just like Katrina,  Louisiana waited for the federal government and  FEMA, to take care of the emergency, but it took too long.  And New Orleans was pretty much ruined because nothing was done from the beginning of the storm.

What a pathetic press conference.
The President cares. Sure he does. He gave a press conference today, first press in months, but he cares.  He cares about Barbra Boxer too.   He claims from day one of the oil spill he was on top of it.  Is he in charge? or is BO just a figure head of the government.  Does he have any leadership qualities at all?  This happened on his watch.  I hope he knows that. Of course, Obama will blame George Bush for this entire mess if given the chance.

Look at this President and his WH, all incompetent.  Not a leader. Do they really think we will accept all their shenanigans?

Here is an abridged career path of BO.  Educated, community organizer, Senator, President.  He did well for the first two.  Terrible for the last two -incompetent.

Look at the Congress, all incompetent. They held hearings on the spill.  They condemned BP officials, criticized their safety record.  They want to change the law, make it tough on oil drilling, yes they are real tough.  They are tough - after there is an explosion and a fire, people get killed, an oil rig sinks to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico and the biggest oil spill ever occurs.  Yes, like Obama they are tough. And they are incompetent.

The main stream media is incompetent too. How about MSNBC  Here is the best of the worst.  Hardball with Chris Matthews  , Ed Shultz, Keith Obermann, Rachel Maddow. Pathetic, disgraceful, common, losers. They do nothing well. They know nothing - except how to bash Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann and all Republicans.  They love big government and big spending. They love Obama. Obama can do not wrong - ever.

Incompetence: Last example.

All these busy people - doing nothing, and getting nothing done.  But I bet the lawyers are getting things done. Getting ready and filing thousands of law suits and claims. Yes the lawyers are real busy, busy counting the money they will make off of BP.

BP - The Oil Spill Clock is Ticking.

From Wikipedia:

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill (also referred as BP oil spill,[5] Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and Macondo blowout) is a massive ongoing oil spill and oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico that started on April 20, 2010. The spill followed a blowout that caused an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig, which then sank off the coast of Louisiana.[2] Eleven rig workers are missing and presumed dead; the explosion also injured 17 others.

BP has fabricated a containment tank to seal the oil leak in the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. This attempt failed, because of an ice slush formation that disallowed flow to a recovery vessel.

The oil spill is huge,  and an explosion that finally sunk the oil rig.

MSN Money has reported: "BP’s current liability for the massive oil spill is capped by law at $75 million. Senator Robert Menendez (a Democrat from New Jersey) has other ideas, however: He is co-sponsoring a measure that would lift the liability limit to $10 billion -- yes, that’s with a ‘b’ -- and would do so retroactively, so it could apply to the April 20 spill."

This was an unprecedented event.

I watched the House and Senate hearings, who questioned BP,
Transocean Ltd, and Halliburton officials.  This is a very technical industry, I do think the congress subcommittees is out of the league here.  Think about this.  If BP does not know what is going on, how can the House or the Senate know anything about what happened.

I do not think BP has  a clue how this happened.  Whats worst, BP does not seem to have a clue how to stop this spill.

I predict,  many people are "out for blood". Including Senators and  members of the House. All the coastal states that are affected by this spill will sue. Fishermen, hotel chains, beach communities will sue. There will be a long list.  No one will truly win, accept maybe the lawyers.
