Obama ship is listing, ready to sink

Last night many witnessed the stunning Scott  Brown's victory, beating Attorney General Martha Coakley for the Senate seat held by Ted Kennedy.  The  defeat of a  Massachusetts Democrat,  should open Obama's eyes,  the White House and the rest of democrats how very badly things can go.

Many have criticized Martha Coakley for being lax and not really trying to win the election, she went on vacation, December 19 to January 6, with no campaigning.

Many think that this election would surely be won by a Democrat,  but it did not work this time.  This is what happens when you are too sure of yourself, to lazy to fight for all votes and maybe you do not belong in this election race  in first place.

On Sunday last. Obama flew to Boston, to campaign for Martha Coakley, as he did in New Jersey to support Jon Corzine for his governor race. It did not work.

Obama mocked Brown and his pick up truck.  Obama saying "you might not want to get  in that truck with Martha's opponent, it might not take you where you want to go."

This is typical Obama rhetoric.  Obama is in trouble now, because many people "do not want to ride with Obama" . They have seen his lies, half truths, distortions, and they are sick of it.

There are some similar  issues concerning the politics of  Obama  and Coakley.

Both were too sure of themselves.
Both were counting on history,  rather than reality.  Democrats would win this race.
In the beginning, Obama just gave the Senate and House a nibble on heath care, never was clear or had enough transparency.  The the Senate bill failed, had to be rewritten, full of deals, bribes and closed door corruption. Obama, Harry Reid and others, just compounded to the problems of a terrible health care bill.

Obama should have seen this coming.  But he was like Coakley,  she thought a Democrat would surely win the Senate seat held by Kennedy for nearly 47 years.   WRONG.

Obama thought because of his charm, rhetoric, and the arrogant Democratic majority, that heath care would surely pass.
Well it might, but not yet.

Obama, his weak White House, and the Democrats have a lot to worry about.

They may get a health care bill for  Obama to sign by his state of the nation speech.   But they will get little else.  They have a lot of damage control work to do.

There will more damage, in the 2010, mid term elections in November.

That's when the ship will really begin to sink for Obama.
